For the past forty years, the Inter-Mennonite Children's Choir has been part
of the Kitchener-Waterloo musical community, providing young singers with a
solid musical foundation as well as a community of young people with similar
values and beliefs.
Rooted in the Mennonite faith, the choir offers high caliber musical training and gives the children opportunities to share their musical skills in concerts, church services and other settings. Presently, the choir has approximately 65 singers between the ages of 6-15 from various church and musical backgrounds and divides into three groups—the Training Choir, Intermediate Choir and the Small Ensemble—according to musical experience. Auditions are held each June for the Intermediate Choir and Small Ensemble.
The choir's schedule includes an annual Christmas and Spring Concert and performances at various functions throughout the region. As well, the choir recently released its newest CD: Joyful Celebration (2007).
